Leaders Right This Way

Ashley Paquet

Camp Director

Ashley has spent 20 combined years at Camp Mi-Te-Na and Camp Foss. Her camp career began as a “staff kid” at Camp Mi-Te-Na while her mother worked as the camp nurse. From there, Ashley became a camper, CIT, Counselor, Lakeview Village Head, Waterfront Director, and Trips Director at Camp Foss. In between, she took some years away from camp to pursue a degree in outdoor education and teach. After two more years back at Foss, Ashley was ready for a new challenge and took on the role as Operations Director at Camp Mi-Te-Na in 2016. Over the last five years, Ashley has been a key member of our camp leadership team and has held many responsibilities in addition to her role as Operations Director including Rental Season Director. Camp Mi-Te-Na holds a special place in Ashley’s heart, as she met her husband, Ashley Della-Savina right here at Mi-Te-Na. The two married in the Fall of 2019 in a ceremony held at camp. Ashley Della Savina (Della, as he is called to avoid confusion) shares the same passion for camp since he spent his first summer here in 2016.

Rick Ross

Staff Development Director

As a kid, Rick spent 7 great summers at Camp Mi-Te-Na as a camper. He went on to earn a BS in Psychology and Recreation from North Georgia Military College in the beautiful mountains of Dahlonega, Georgia. During the summers Rick returned to Camp Mi-Te-Na where he completed the Counselor In Training program and went on to hold several positions including Senior Counselor, Village Head, and Trips Director. He went on to spend four years in the military as a US Army Ranger. In 1986 Rick completed the military service and joined the YMCA team full time as Youth Director and Assistant Director of Camp Mi-Te-Na. In 1997 Rick became the Director of Camp Mi-Te-Na and served in that role 16 years before retiring and now returning to continue to assist at camp. Overall this is Ricks 54th year at Camp Mi-Te-Na.

Eric Werner

Eric Werner

Zeb believes physical and mental fitness are the key to success, and uses his weekly hike as an opportunity to do both. Zeb is passionate about baking for his family, and has an eternal love for playing four-square on the courts at Mi-Te-Na.
